blacked out front rings

how do you guys feel about it? i blacked out the s-line badge while i was at it too.

-i did it with plasti-dip and it is a flat black color to match the inside part of the front grille.
-taking off the yellow fog film, because its giving the car a cheap look

blacked out looks good. i would've just removed the s-line badge though. and def support removing the yellow fogs.

Too much black for my taste (coming from the guy who has blacked out everything else on his car). I'm colormatching my front rings in the near future and I've got something up my sleeve for the "quattro" badge. We'll see how it turns out...

-you can't take the s-line badge off and just leave it without one. the s-line badge clip/holder is still there in the grille so it would show.
-i've been thinking about keeping the red flag in the s-line badge or maybe even doing a white flag..or a white emblem with a black flag. alot of ideas.
-definitely getting rid of the yellow fog film

I'm not usually a fan of blacked out rings but it works on your white car. I say leave the S-Line badge black too.

wow, i really thought you could unclip the thing that holds the s-line badge. but a little white paint on there would look sweet.

I was thinking of doing this myself on my Ibis b7 (painting my S-Line grille, chrome border, filler plate, and rings)....does it come out well when you do it yourself or should I give it to a shop and have them paint it?

Did you black out the rings on the back of your car?

I want to black out the rings on my grille, but I haven't decided if I want to go through the hassle of blacking out the rings in the rear too. Espeically because I'm having a hard time picturing blacked out emblems on a white car. It's different when it's blacked out on the grille IMO.

-yeah i need alittle bit more contrast on the grille...i was actually thinking of doing a white s-line with the red flag. i think it would look pretty hot.

Blacking rings out may be OK, even I am not a fan.

If you hate chrome (may be almost all of us do), you can get your rings painted in a matte silver finish.

Some times, over "cleaning" or "shaving" our cars, can give them a cheaper look.

i agree with you guys on the s-line badge...i got something coming for that..and i might go over the front rings with some gloss black spray paint to give it a finished look

just ordered a whole new set of s-line badges- 1 front grille and 2 sides
heres some ideas i came up with

1. white with the red flag or black flag
2. black with the red flag or white flag
