Ok so it seems to happen more so after car has just been sitting for a while, but when turning the wheel from a stand stil or slower speeds (this may just be only when i notice it) i heard a creeking and squeking noise and i can somewhat feel it through the steering wheel. While getting my oil change the mechanic said he didnt notice any kind of leaks. Is the noise coming from the steering shaft directly out of the steering wheel or some other part?

I don't know if the sounds you are describing are what i'm imagining but check your power steering fluid. If you are low, your shit will make noise when you turn and vibrate through the wheel slightly. If your fluid is low, then you have a leak.
