Ran into some injector problems, AEB guys maybe you can help? help

Ok so before i start, this is my setup: 2001 A4 1.8TQ, aeb head swap, manifold, and fuel rail, newsouth phenolic spacer, 034 exhaust manifold, stock K03S, evo testpipe, ghl cat-back, and TT225 (386cc) injectors, and unitronic is writing the custom software (1.3bar). The build up has been going very smoothly for the most part until i encountered a bit of a problem today with the injectors. Originally, 034 gave me injector spacers for the TT injectors because they said that would solve my problem and would allow me to fit those injectors with my aeb setup. The spacers dont really look like they do anything and kind of make the rail setup seem flimsy anyway. But back to the problem, i attempted to but the TT injectors in the new manifold and discovered that they would not fit in the aeb seats because the aeb seats are smaller than the awm's. So i attempted to swap the seats from my awm manifold since the TT injectors need the awm seats and found that the actual awm seat is externally larger in diameter than the aeb seats and will not thread into the aeb manifold. So what im wondering is if there is any seat that will accept the TT injectors that fits in the aeb manifold?

But now that i have encountered this i am actually begining to think of other injector options, because the only reason i planned to specifically use the TT injectors was because i had them laying around from my dads stage 1+ B6. I have also heard that the TT injectors shouldnt/cant be used with an aeb head setup because of the design, so im wondering if i should even use them or not.

So all you aeb guys, maybe you can tell me what the best injectors would be to match this setup that is a direct fit for aeb motors. I was thinking either the 310cc injectors from a pc-16 set up, or i have heard that seimens makes 380cc's also. So basically i need to find an injector that fits the aeb setup, any ideas?

get a custom aftermarket fuel rail, then you can put whatever injectors ev6 or ev12, anything that works for 1.8t. just use different spacers for longer/shorter injectors. but you'll also have to get a regulator adaptor so you can put your stock fpr. or just run a aftermarket regulator. i'm running genesis injectors designated for the awm/newer 1.8t blocks. pm me if you need a pix of my aeb setup.
82mm je pistons, scat rods, ported & polished aeb head. gt2871r, atp hi flow manifold (ported). 580cc injectors on custom giac tune. Once you boost, you'll never go back....

Why do you want tt225 injectors on a k03s? I would think the stock injectors would be able to deliver enough fuel for you

but the problem is not in the rail the TT225s fit perfect in the rail, my fuel rail setup will work just fine, its the seats, the TT225 injectors will not fit in the intake manifold seats on the aeb, and the manifold seats for the awm will not fit in the aeb manifold.

the main reason at the time was because i had them laying around, but also the awm stock injectors do not fit in the aeb manifold, and aeb stock injectors are around 240cc i beleive, as the awm's are 270cc, so id be running smaller injectors if i used stock injectors. So i figured id run something bigger because of the aggressive file as well. But i what 034 has just suggested is that i run the RS2 injectors which are 380cc and are a direct fit to in an aeb setup.

You're on your way to a great BT setup with that motor and head combo. The K03s is not worth the extra effort you're putting in.

True, man if I were you id be using that 06a with aeb head combo to a greater extent. You have pretty much the best setup when it comes to an audi. You have the flow of a aeb head and the ability to run a maf-less tune, and your ligther than a b6. Id atleast run a 2871r if I were you. However if you really want that k03s, then the rs2 injectors should work if theyre 380ccs

Re: Ran into some injector problems, AEB guys maybe you can help? help

Yeah very true guys, the story behind all this was a broken timing belt. So when i went to replace the head i got a little carried away with the aeb setup. I wish i could go with the 2871R but money is so tight now with the build up, maybe somtime next year.

Quick question though that maybe you guys can answer. I was reading up and though 034 told me the RS2 injectors were 380cc i was looking and everyone is saying that there 420cc which is what i thought they were. Not calling 034 stupid but im pretty sure there not 380cc now that ive searched. So does anyone know a 380cc injector that is a direct drop in for an aeb (ev6 style) with stock like spray pattern that i could use? The genesis 380cc are for the later manifolds like 01+, and i think the seimens may be too. If anyone knows feel free to let me know. Thanks guys.
