How do you change the IAT sensor

I saw on the bently that the IAT sensor is right behind the throttle valve, under the intake manifold.. what are the steps at getting to this sensor? I have an apr bypipe, do I need to take it off to get to the sensor...? can it be taken off without taking off the bumper and core support? when I installed it there was nothing in the way. But ya, how do I get to that IAT sensor?

I'm just guessing but if you removed the Throttle body, you might have enough to squeeze your room in there with a ratchet and a socketed allen and undo the IAT. A lot less work then removing the entire intake manifold. If you're going to go that route you might as well order intake manifold spacers, knock out two birds with one stone. Just be careful not to drop anything into the intake ports.

depending on the type of fasteners it uses it may be possible to remove it after the TB is out.

Re: How do you change the IAT sensor

I am thinking I will go ahead and remove the intake manifold. I have an APR bypipe.. when I installed the thing the front end was open... I was woindering if it can be taken off and reinstalled with the bumper, core support and radiator, and fans still in place..?
