The tallest one will be the easiest to engage because of the leverage...a smaller one looks better, but itll make it a little more difficult to put into gears...Than again, you can always get the smaller one and buy a weighted shift knob to help it shift smoother

    JHM with oem height

I have had a couple shifters and I finally got a JHM. Should have gone with it from the get-go. Its perfect.

    Re: short shifter

I haven't tried the JHM, but really like my Neuspeed. Was hard to shift into first in the beginning, but no that I'm used to it... like buttah.

    JHM has a weighted knob?

i had a euro-knob (came in some B6 3.0L 6spds) and i fvcking LOVED it... till it broke one day going into 3rd... the whole knob kinda broke somewhere inside and tore through the stitching

sucks cuz it felt a lot more natural than the big ball knob ours come with.

and for the record i have the shifter, linkage, and stabilizer bushings

    Re: short shifter

    Oh yeah!

There are threads in the B5 A4 and B5 S4/RS4 forums about it. Matt & Jay are developing it right now and I am anxiously awaiting its debut.
