let's play a game: do these B7s have sports suspension

I was shopping around at the dealership today. Saw both of these 2006 B7 A4s. I asked the dealer if either one of them does not have sports pacakge and and he said no. But judging by the space between the tire and the fender, the red one seemed like it has less gap.

What's your verdict? Can you tell by the wheel style? I only test drove the black one but not the red so I can't really tell.

I am going with No and No, especially since they were 06s (real S-Line only) and I am pretty sure that was the only way you could get Sport Suspension. For a comparison look at my 06 S-Line, seems lower than the red and of course that black one (looks like a scared cat).

I have a 2005.5 A4. My dealer told me my car does not have sport suspension, but it does. I guess they never know

check the shocks. If the struts/shocks are red then they're sport..

Black: No sport suspension
Red: with Sport Suspension.
It might look higher than most of the mods in here, but it is still much less gap then the black one above and definitely equipped with factory sport suspension. Also, it doesn't have the 'S-Line' appearance so it makes it look even more basic. My car w/ sport suspension looks like that except it's Dolphin Gray.

There are 06 with sports suspension option without S-Line. It's "sold order" only i.e. it must be factory ordered - dealer inventory cars can't have that option.

The same for 07 as well.

so i searched for shipping blocks, not knowing if you're joking or whatever ;)
I couldn't find any picture that shows what the shipping blocks actually look like.

Is the car drivable before removing the shipping block?

good point. i agree with you, i don't like either wheel but out of those two i like the double spokes better.

The red one has the better wheels, the other wheels look tiny. The really ugly wheels are the 16's that came on the base models.

Red has the sport suspension.

Well, and furthermore aspw, some more things to consider are: do you plan to get aftermarket suspension or new wheels?

If so, I'd go for whichever is cheaper and put the saved money towards the aftermarket equipment; who cares if it's sport vs. non-sport or what wheels it has if they're just gonna get replaced in the near/semi-near future?

yeah i noticed that also. i could be wrong, but sometimes a camera will pick up colors in a taillight that you cant see when just looking at it
