I like the RS4 DTM wheels a lot. They look great on Josh's car.

yea that is what I was thinking. RS4 DTM's or a set of MTM BiMotos...basicly the same wheel

How about a USPS tractor trailer merged into me while I was on my way to work friday morning. I was inbetween the rear wheels of the truck and the back wheels of the trailer when he started to signal and move over. There was not much room for me to move. I layed on the horn and moved over as much as possible but he clipped the mirror and a-pillar. Luckily the only damage is a small scrape on the Mirror housing and a few scratches on the apillar trim. I got an estimate at 1100 bucks! The guy from USPS came out to take pictures and said that a lady will be in contact with me and write me a check once I fax her the estimates. I'm going to add the hour of missed work and rental car in there too. He said they are good at paying. I guess since they are the fed gov't they don't use insurance. They just pay. Luckilly it wasn't a cop or township vehicle. I heard if it is any of them it is automatically your fault. Even if they were drunk and ran a redlight and hit you.

ouch..yea the fed goverment doesn't use insurance..they just pay...also never get into an accident with a school owned vehicle..they only pay the deductable on your insruance no matter if it was there fault or yours

That sucks Ben. I guess it could have been worse. Still a bummer.
I actually dropped off my car this morning to have the right side and front bumper painted. The right side was keyed back in May and in June some f'er backed into the bumper. Surprisingly I'm not too upset about either incident because the paint match was not great on the bumper and the side could have been a bit better too.

Ok I was driving though Sewickley this afternoon about 12.30 and spotted a pearl white S4 Sedan...now from a distance I knew something was wrong..It as i got closer i noticed what was wrong..Factory RS4 front bumper with mesh and fogs...PLUS RS4 Front fenders...but no wide body in the rear. to me it looked a little weird not having the wide body in the rear but it was still hot

I'm not too upset about it either. As long as they agree to give me all the money I would need to fix it back to being perfect.

Ben you're more than welcome to take the bumper and c/o's. That way they'll already be on your Nogaro Avant when I steal it. Saves time for me.

Where are you getting your body work/paint done?

Several months ago someone from Lesser Pitt... er Greater Pitt Auto Center called me about my bumper so it might be someone from there who owns the car. Who knows?

I was just at greater pitt the other day getting an estimate. He didn't mention anything about a car with rs4 bumpers and fenders though. Mark the owner was tryin to trade me my avant for his brand new R32. I said no. I'm not really sure where I will get it fixed. It is only replacing the mirror and crhome trim. I can do the mirror myself. But we will see. I might just keep the cash and try buffin it out then buy coilovers.

It's ironic that the wide body topic came up because I was thinking about the concept on Sunday night knowing I was dropping the car off at the body shop in the morning. To do it right you really need to do the whole car and that's too rich for my blood. Plus, I don't know who I would trust to do the work. It looks great though.

yeh agreed on the wide body all around. it would not look to bad but for a better mind set i would do it all around to. i am still considering the whole widebody so i can get the 18x9 all around posibly x10

I sold my chipped ECU to a kid in florida. The stock one he sent back had a bad solder. So i broke down on the side of the parkway. Then Rob saved my butt. Had to send the ECU out to matrix in oregon and just got it back now.

I chipped the S a couple months ago. APR im a spare ECU i got from ebay for a real good deal!

So far all I have done is transferred the short shifter and boost gauge from the A4 and gotten the APR chip. I want to get coilovers and some black wheels with a polished lip...then the rest of my money is going into the house. I tried buying coilovers but the guy scammed me and I lost over $600

I did just trade some dude a few stainless wheelguides for a nogaro tycoon shift boot though! And I am thinking of doing piggie pipes and keepin the stock exhaust.

A chipped S4 is a joy to drive. I only drove a stock one for the first time last month (bought mine already chipped) so now I have some comparision. Stock power is still pretty smooth. Piggie pipes would be a great mod! I'd love to get them but it would kill my warranty... yes I'm chipped and I have a warranty. Long story.

My car is being repaired/painted at Critchlow Auto Body on Bab**** Blvd. I know Jeff and he does a decent job. They fixed a huge scratch on the hood last year by only painting/blending the right front corner. It came out pretty good. I had them paint the bumper and could have been a bit better. Soooo I'm staying on top of them plus I've learned the hard way *cough Lesser Pitt* how much PW can be messed up. I'm sure they can do good work but I'll never go back.

yea greater pitt *or lesser pit* does ok work I know if I was paying for then I had my car there and not the insurace company I would have done the work myself. the paint work sucks and wasn't the greatest..hell I can do better work then them

Yeah I've had some problems with greater pitt but there isn't really any other body shop I know of that I would trust more.

yea If I had to take it to a shop to get something done I would prob take it to critchlos...def not back to GP.

Most shops are not perfect especially when it comes to us nit-picky car geeks. I'm sure LP has done some good work but one would be amazed if they saw the hack job done to my car last year. They fixed the problem which was the right thing to do but the fact the car was even delivered to me in that condition was shocking. There were a couple other issues which included me paying $150 in extra shipping for the RS4 bumper to arrive while the car was there being painted. Ya know, paint the bumper at the same time... makes sense. Car was done on a Thursday and the bumper arrived that Thursday morning... they knew it was coming. In the grand scheme it arrived later than I expected but it was still there before the car left the shop. I even called to confirm it arrived and had an agreement it would be painted. I called back the following Friday, five business days later (Labor Day weekend), and the bumper was never touched. $150 down the drain. Oh, thanks for offering me a rental car while the hack job was being repaired. One would think it was the right thing to do since I would be without the car for four days because of their poor work. Nope, I had to bum a ride for those four days. Hack job and poor customer service. F 'em. Like I said, I'm sure they've some some good work but they really dropped the ball in my case.

I only have one bumper. I got it last year and LP was suppose to paint it. However, I picked it up after those five days mentioned above and had Critchlows do the work. It's down there now because someone backed into me while I was parked on the South Side... same place (girlfriends house) where I was keyed.
