    Re: VVME HID kits......good?

I'm not sure about vvme kits but there's a group buy going on that has apexcone kits for $115 shipped with a life time warranty that might interest you. All color temps are available and you can get fogs or low beams. That's what I'm doing. There shouldn't be any issues installing the kit with halogen housings either. When I placed my order they asked me if I was converting or if I had existing HID's anyways. Here's the link:

    Re: VVME HID kits......good?

I have VVME and love them, havent had any issues. My buddy has a set and the ballasts crapped out in 1 week. He installed them in a Impreza though so IDK if maybe he needed a relay in-line which may have caused the problem.

    Its hit or miss.

vvme is good, but make sure you get 6k or less. anything above is more color and no light output. i got the 8k and its all blue, with about the same light output as stock. but, if you like the blue look go for 8k+

They seem too cheap for me.

http://www.ddmtuning.com/ has 55w HID's (way brighter) with a lifetime warranty and slim ballasts.
100$ thats where im ordering mine.

I like mine, but if I saw that 55w kit before I purchased mine I would've went with that most likely.

    Re: VVME HID kits......good?

I have had multiple sets of VVME's (2 different cars) and I have still not had an individual bulb/ballast combo that lasts more than 6 months. The last and final time I ordered lights for my new a4, one was 6000k, the other 8000k.

    I'd go somewhere else.

Go with the apexcone ones. You cant beat the lifetime warranty on them and the ballasts are nice and small so there easy to mount under the stock lights. Its a nice setup, way better than stock.

i bought VVME H4 digital bi-xenon hid kit 4300K from their site last year and it works well until now... i like VVME brand hid cos VVME kits are cheap, reliable, and almost identical to the factory HID on the tractors and they are not blue like other kits.

of course there are other hid brands ... so if you think it is hard to choose , maybe after u read this post, you can make up your mind.....

comparing HID Colors VVME vs DDME and Speaker, VisonX,

I put a 55w 5000k DDM slim kit in and I couldn't be happier, Plus an easy install on the stock headlights! My roommate just put in a 35W 6000K Bi Zeon kit in his Mk2 really impressed with the amount of light these kits put out. Now to do HID fogs...

+1 for everything said on DDM. If you cant afford $55 then you have the wrong car in the first place, plus why risk your headlights not working at some point.

Go DDM and get it over with
