Snow Tires in NYC.

Hey guys, I was just hoping to get your opinions on snow tires in NYC. It usually doesnt snow too often and when it does it doesn't snow too much. Do you guys think its worth it to get?

Depends if your going to be traveling anywhere that gets more snow...I personally have always run a dedicated winter wheel setup. It can't hurt, and the added sidewall protectiona and cushioning from winter tires is nice when the potholes start to expand. Check on Dunlop Winter Sport M3's

2nd that one. Been running snow tires every winter for a good 6-7 years and they are worth every penny.

While you might not plow through like an SUV, it's priceless to have the peace of mind of a tire that will keep you and your ride safe (and never stuck on the few occasions your away from the city).

Bought the Dunlop M3's last year for the S... great tire!

well worth it ever try driving with sport tires???? its like being on ice with shoes

well. that really depend on how much cash you have in your pocket.. if you have 600 bucks or so laying around collecting dust then go for the winter tires.. but the past two years it hasn't snow heavy like i wanted... so it's up to you..

isn't all season tires good enought for us city peeps??

I live in Northern NJ and we get some decent snow. I have all season tires and have no problem getting around in my C5 A6

I think Snow Tires is more of a convience than a necessity. I do really want a set though so I could drive my audi to the maximum potential no matter the weather outside.
