Diagnosticator, Old Guy... etc... need some help..

So, since waterfest I have been having some annoying electrical problems with the car. First, both of my fog lights are 'out.' The front left was out first, then they both went out. I'm pretty sure it is not the bulb though. When the left one went out, I swapped the bulb and it didnt work.. I checked the circuit and it seemed like it didnt have power... I didn't have time to check anything else... so I just left it.

Since then the other one went out.

Also, my right front headlight, front parking light and rear right tail light all intermittently go out. The bulbs are not going out, they just stop working. Each has "gone out" indicidually at different times. To get them back on, all I have to do is turn them off and back on... every time they come right back.

I don't know if i have a bad headlight switch, or if there is an overload on the circuit/shoft somewhere. I'm sure the headlight/parkinglight/taillight thing must be related... but i dont know if it relates to the fog lights at all

Also (around waterfest time frame) I tore out some wires in the driver's wheel well. I've been banking on this being the fog light issue, but I havent had time to fix it yet... do you know what these wires are for:

Here is an older post of mine

My drivers side fog light had been out... then right after this the passenger went out...

today on my way home my passenger parking light as well as my rear passenger light both went out...

any idea what these wires are... and more importantly, why they are run though the wheel liner?

I circled them in an older picture:

I take it you have not had a chance to trace the wires back from your driver headlight and both fog lights? I know both fog lights connect into the harness on the driver side of the bumper.

I haven't had my driver wheel well off in years so I don't remember where all those wires go. I'm assuming they are the wires in that wheelwell you chopped because the harness going into the ECu is the engine harness and not the front-end harness.

BTW: I never got around to the fuel pump yesterday. Definitely doing it this week/weekend.

Hopping in on this thread since I'm having the same foglight issues.

BTW, I tore the same wires in the wheel well and I've since lengthened/relocated them and I still have the foglight issue. Everything else on the car works though.

    Moral of story:
Never park at Waterfest next to a jealous silver B6 who will ninja cut your wires when you aren't looking.... mwooooAAhahahahaha

Hope you get it figured out though. Maybe it has something to do with that damn WOT box, lol.
