I've never met ANY of you, so I would be willing to meet up w/ y'all.

In the VW world, we sometimes pick somewhere in Rosemont/O'Hare. It tends to be "central" to practically everyone, from Lake County to, like me, Southwest Burb Chicago.

Like IDK if everyone is over 21, so we can pick a nice bar, or what kinda food you think would be a good idea, but Rosemont does tend to have something for everyone.

It is also @ a "conflagration" of several major e-ways, which does make it convenient.

Just tossing out a location-ish type of idea, but I'm just the new guy.

people walking/talking in a small groups
eating at the different tables
sometimes parking lot is half full with other cars

I actually liked that last meet, we had a plenty of space + good location.
I would also suggest Oakton parking lot (where Treffen was)-but there is no shade.

We had a pretty good one of those @ BWW's in Skokie! Had about 20 cars and plenty of space around us. The Skokie police parked by us, as they were suspecting us of shenanigans, but once we actually talked to the officer, telling him we were all very mature and weren't going to do burnout contests, he left us alone.

BAD IDEAS involve malls! Streets of Woodfield is a HUGE "cliche" and most rent-a-cops have nothing better to do than to look for more than 1 similar make cars to park together. (Met a buddy w/ a VW @ Oak Brook, parked next to each other, 5 minutes later, rentacop showed up, and told us we had to break it up).

It's easier to miss than you think cuz I didn't find it my 1st pass for our VW GTG, since it's easier to get in via Carpenter, as opposed to Touhy.
