    Re: A Filter That FITS!

The wagon is back up and running after being stupid, found the performance issue (cat core was clogging exhaust flow) and pushing the car into high boost without actually doing any tuning first.

Just stupid. I'll post pics of what happened when I get the camera out of the wagon.

Anyway it took 5 weeks to get my ECU back but now the car runs again and it is now in the bodyshop to get the front bumper treatment done. Pretty much missed all the shows this summer due to delays.

Now it is time to do some logging to get data to send back to get a properly adjusted file.

have fun replacing your turbo when that filter gets sucked in that filter will not flow enough cfm and tear itself up. K&N makes a filter that will fit.

I honestly can see any problem running that filter. It may not flow as well as running open turbo, but I cant see how it would fold in on itself/

actually with a filter on it will organize the air and would be much better then with out a filter. i gave him a link to a K&N which is much better then the APC. i personally saw that same filter be sucked into a big turbo.

Don't you think if that fit a few of us would have it ... It is bigger, and hopefully from my picture you can tell that nothing bigger will fit

www.1552v2.com and yes its my shop. We made the FMIC in house from scratch using only a Garrett core (no endtanks) hence the reason I put our name on it The sticker thats in the FMIC is one we give out, the 1552 is one you get only by having something extensive done at our shop

I run that KN filter on my car - kn ru2510...

Its works well, but the front is made of rubber / plastic and when the engine gets hot it gets a little soft... however, no problems so far.

The EVAP purge solenoid is still connected to the tank feed line and plugged into the harness, I just moved it to the fenderwell behind the liner
