I have the opportunity to buy some winter tires, 215/55/r17 mounted on rims from an RX8 for a ridiculous price as my buddy just sold his car.

Would it be ok to run this on the s4?

    Re: Winter tires

yeah that would be great if the wheels even bolted up.

yea and then it would be great if the tires werent too tall of a profile unless youre on stock height.

yeah and it would be great if you searched around a bit, honestly.

yeah, it would be great if you shipped your items out on time also, but we dont live in a perfect world. So when you start shipping your items on time, i'll start searching.

My concern was with running a non-stock size.

Wheels bolt up fine. I'm also stock height. THANKS Rob.

    Re: Winter tires

i dont see how that has anything to do with what you posted, why dont you stay on topic.

and no rx8 wheels are not 5x112 they are 5x114.3 they will not bolt up.

maybe you should have searched that, but i thought you did already?

i never said i searched, so you thought wrong. I felt lazy today.

The wheels are not RX8 wheels, they are just a generic rim with those tires on a RX8. But your right about the bolt pattern.

    Thanks for the info

    Re: Winter tires

I had a guy tell me I couldnt run larger tires on my A4 last year, but I put them on anyway and they fit perfectly.

    Re: Winter tires

I had a the service manager at a dealer tell me that if I put on 18s I would mess up my trans and they wouldn't fit. A month later they were selling an S with the same rims I wanted to put on in 18s. Go figure!
