So does he have Sport?

When i purchased my A4 I saw that the window sticker said I had the "sport" pkg on it... My two friends both own a4's now and they asked me how can they tell if they have the sport pkg?

One is a B6 1.8t, the other one is a b7 2.0t.

Also what are the added plus' for having SPORT?

Painted lowers.

I thought that Painted lowers came standard after 2003?? His b6 1.8t is a 2005 so I assumed painted lowers were standard?

^^ and it was from 2004 that they offered the option of painted lowers first but they didn't come standard except for on usp. But yeah the sport package includes all stuff underneath in the suspension for sure, maybe wheels but i thought that it was an 18" wheel that came with the sport package.

The Ultrasport package has everything from the Sport package plus the following: 18" RS4 style alloy wheels, quattro GmbH designed lower front bumper, side door flares, trunk lip spoiler, and euro rear bumper, ebony interior (no other interior color choices offered), 3 spoke air leather sport steering wheel, and aluminum trim (fish scale in 2004, brushed for 2004.5 - 2005). The 2005 Ultrasport also got the S-Line badge on the steering wheel. There were no modifications to the engine (1.8T or 3.0).
If memory serves correct, the S-Line package offered in Europe was everything that was in the Ultrasport package plus the following (for the 1.8T): dual side mounted intercoolers, and a mild chip tuning to raise the power from 170hp to 190hp.

these are sport rims, but that doesn't necessarily mean he has sport package. in 2005, audi offered the "special edition" package and it came with these 17" wheels but with NON-sport suspension. i know because i have it i figured that since i had the rims, i had the goods, but to my dismay, i found out my shocks were black so now i'm in the market for a used sport suspension setup.

but yeah, the easiest way to tell is to try to see if you can get a glance at the color of the shocks or you can measure the gap (2-finger=sport, 4-finger=non-sport).

'04.5+ had painted lowers from factory, no matter what A4 model.

Also, the 2005 1.8T SE edition also came with the sport 17" wheels standard, didn't have to be equipped with sport. So those models will look like a 4x4 with the sport 17s.

There is a sticker in your trunk with your build codes listed on it. 1BE is the code for sport suspension. C1X is the 17" 5 spoke wheels that accompany it.
