quick audio question

1. I have a 04 A4 with bose sound system and it says "symphony" on the audio system. Do I have Symphony II?
I'm interested in buying a GROM ipod adaptor, would I need to do harness modification like the following?

2. I think when I listen to the radio the volume changes depending on my driving. How do you change those settings so I have constant volume?

^^ i think you probably just have symphony because my mom used to have a 02' v6 passat and it did the exact same thing where the volume changed depending on your speed. Although i'm not positive since i know that VW's is called monsoon. It makes sense why it would do that seeing as how road noise gets worse as you speed up and gets quieter as you go slower. But it's a PAIN IN THE ASS and i hated it. The volume would always change on me and i wanted it to stay at one constant volume. Maybe someone else can give you a more definite answer as to what system you have, but as far as changing the settings you should be able to vag-com it but i don't know how.
