A/C died anybody else had this problem?

A/C died today on my way to NC.

Anybody else had this problem? Im guessing it leaked out. Going to check it tommorrow.

Yes, and unless you are under warranty, get ready to shell out around 3500 for a new compressor plus labor.

My compressor went out, and my dealership said $1800 parts and labor. And I'm dying out here in this socal heat

A/C is still holding a charge No fuses are blown. If the compressor is blown im going to replace it myself. Theres got to be a VW compressor replacement for cheap. Does Vag-Com pull climatronic codes? Also can anybody tell me if there is an A/C relay and where is it located? I traced my A/C issue on my corrado to the A/C Relay

Guys it was the climate control unit and not the compressor going bad. What a relief.

Good to hear its wasn't the compressor.

I had to replace my compressor this summer, cost 1100 plus labor.....

I think the problem you had is you came into North Carolina, we are pretty much horrible here and it hates us Audi drivers, go away!
