    coil pack seals?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Prior to changing the cam seal gasket I noticed a lot of white smoke coming out of my tail pipe and I couldn't figure out why it was doing that. That's when I noticed the cam seal leaking oil and decided to change it. When I removed the coil pack I noticed a good amount of water in two of the spark plug holes.

I decided to change the spark plugs and oil only to find more water. When I looked at the coil packs today as I was doing the maintenance I noticed one of the rubber seals was completely missing and another was missing a good chunk of the seal (these were the two that had the most water). I put some gasket maker around them for now so they won't leak but that damn Vorsteiner hood has the vents right above the valve cover and the coil pack cover doesn't help much either ...........

I tried searching but could not find anyone who sells the seals only. Does anyone have any information that can help me or steer me in the right direction?

    Re: coil pack seals?

for the AEB at least, there is a part number for them in ETKA. you can get them from any audi dealer or online place.

edit: atw uses same ones as AEB. 058905261a. can get them from any audi dealer or online audi parts place like audipartsdepot.com, genuineaudiparts.com etc.

    Re: coil pack seals?

For my application they are as there was a lot of water in my spark plugs, especially since I have a vent on my hood and only a coil pack cover and not a valve cover.

If you look at an angle through the CF vent, you can see my coil packs.
