ESP & Check Engine Light w/ NGK plug change

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I decided to change my spark plugs at 80k to NGK Iridium. the check engine and ESP lights came on after completion, along with rough idleing and car almost stalling.

Any suggetions on what could be wrong?

I recently did the same plugs on a 2.8, no problems. Are you sure you got the wires back on correctly?

yeah check that you have the wire harnesses to the coils in the correct orientation. You are experiencing miss-fire, and I reckon if you hook up a VAG it would indicate that....granted that nothing else was disturbed. I doubt 'tight' vs correctly torqued would bring upon a miss. Nevertheless it's always good to have the plugs torqued correctly;-)

Went to a local shop thanks to OC-Drop and the problem was my oxygen sensor & coolent sensor gone bad. All is well now and see you at Dub show.

Thanks again Oc-drop for the referral

    ps. I torqued at 22.
