You are viewing a brand new test pipe made specifically for the B5/B6 Audi A4. This test pipe is designed to bolt on and replace the stock catalytic converter**.

Yes. If you get a reflash WITH the test pipe code removed in it, then you will not get a CEL.

Just a question. Is there a way to make new test pipes look like stockish / dirty so if someone looks in your engine they dont see a shiny steel pipe they just see something that looks like a dirty OEM downpipe or something?

I really have no idea what a test pipe does? Can you explain to me what it actually does? I have a stock exhausts and what would be the benefit of this?

your cat restricts alooooot of flow and creates massive amounts of back pressure it lets your turbo spool faster and it gives you some noticeable gains on your top end it will give you a code but theres alot of things you can do to fix that on a stock exhaust it with make your turbo louder i believe it sounds sick

Like B6480Avant said, the test pipe deletes the cat, and allows the turbo/exhaust gases to have a more free-flowing system. The end result nets you a more efficient flowing system, and ultimately gives you more power. Coupled with a reflash, you can get rid of the CEL and maximize the effectiveness of a test pipe as well.

fusionx, if you take a look at my sig, we also sell a test pipe, which incorporates the stock heat shield design, to give it a OEM look once installed. Otherwise, I guess you can throw dirt or other things onto this test pipe, to make it less reflective or new looking.

i just put my vmr test pipe on my 2.0t without a flaw and i love it. only problem is that they dont make the cat replica (heat shield) version for my b7 :(

The price difference is partially due to construction/manufacturing and management's decisions on what to have it priced at. Various things are taken into account, such as what was already listed above, including quantity/amount that we are able to get, etc, etc.
