I would infer that it would cost the amount of time to remove the headliner and repair or put the sunroof sunshade back on the tracks.. most likely fairly expensive, did you try calling the dealership for an estimate?

happened to my mom's a6 and she was quoted a couple thousand to replace it. she decided against it and it was wobbled around and slid around when you accelerate and brake.

Weird.. I couldn't tell you, my advise would be to ask audi. My sunroof thing is kinda weird cuz lately when i open it, the moment it starts to retract back, I hear this THUNK right as it finishes passing the black plastic piece that is spring powered... Any ideas?

Re: moonroof sliddy cover thingy off track!

    mine did the same thing.

anyway i got my dad and we both lifted the front of the slider up a bit while pulling it toward the front of the car. we had to move some seats around and stuff but we got it back on the track. it will still slide off if you keep pushing it back, but at least its on the track.

I didnt exactly feel like dishing out thousands on a sunroof fix
