    Angry More electrical gremlins

So my sun-roof has been possessed for quite some time now and that's an obvious fix (new sun-roof switch).

But now a new one showed up:

When my car got very hot (parked in the sun too long) it seems like my driver side window behaves funky for a bit. If I try to roll it up it goes to the half-way point then open again (!???) - even if I keep holding the button.

If the window still happens to be up, I've seen it go down once or twice on it's own as well.

I cannot reproduce this easily yet. Seems like it's intermittent and as I said, it only seems to occur when the car got really hot.

    Anybody else have this happen?

Really you only need to remove and clean the grease out of the sunroof switch, as for the window you might try the same.

    Re: More electrical gremlins

My drivers window does the same but along with a grinding noise. I've reframed from opening it because i know is going brake completely and be left down.

As for my sunroof it sometime tilts open/close all on its own. It also rattles ALOT to the point were i have to keep the shade back to stop the rattle.

    My car is an 03 A4 1.8TQ with 79k.

DirtyBrd if you can expand a little more on cleaning out the switches?

your window regulator is shot. going to need to replace it.

as for it coming back down, its the window switch, needed to replace it on my parents car.
