There are tons of threads on these forums about those Depo headlights. You basically get what you pay for though...

I know a couple people have them cause they like the Angel Eyes around the headlights, just like BMW has, and then other people really hate them because of that. I'd say just go to and auto parts store, buy a replacement bulb or maybe even some Hoen bulbs and save your money for an OEM Xenon kit.

Not lame. They're bright as hell. On my a3 I had hids in my highs and white bulbs in my lows and I loved them

It's true though, I have never seen a good retrofit of HIDs using the stock halogen housing on any car. It's a lot brighter, but the glare cheapens the look a lot and is also a hazard to other drivers.

Re: Bulbs burned out w/ my halogen setup, any recommendations on an upgrade?

I have PIAA XtremeWhite bulbs in my fogs and they're ridiculously bright. They're pretty much pure white (as their name would suggest, lol). There are bulbs out there that will give you more of a blue tone (like the HOEN Xenonmatch) if that's the look you like, but they're definately not as bright as the PIAA's. The PIAA's are almost an exact match to my OEM HID headlights whereas the HOENs actually have more blue than the HID's.
