    Disconnected hose?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just changed my oil and I noticed that there is a vacuum hose unhooked at the front of my engine(2002 1.8T). It comes from the underneath left of the engine and runs across the top of the timing belt cover going towards the right side. I tied it to the top rad hose to keep it off my alternator pulley. It is rubber covered with woven fabric. I can't see where it could connect to. Car running fine and no CE light (yet). Any ideas?

    Re: Disconnected hose?

    thats what i said :)

the DV line goes up to the n249 valve, located under your intake manifold.

and if you have an 02 1.8t that is your engine diagram.

    Re: Disconnected hose?

here is a pic from a4mods.com with the intake manifold off. The hose goes to the bracket that is laying there with the numbers on it.

In the diagram posted above the hose runs off the DV(#21) and connects to your n249 valve(#17).

    Re: Disconnected hose?

I would put a clamp on it. Or at least a zip tie. If it fell off once, it can do it again if there is nothing holding it on.
