Has anyone ever had any immobilzer problems and can help??

I own a B6 S4 and with the last couple months my car has a hesitation to start. It's not a battery drain or a starter problem....it just doesn't want to start and take like 15 key turns and some praying for it to turn over...and then it turns right over. This happens anytime of the day is the car has been sitting for a while. I first thought it was a bad ground wire but was recently told from a garage that it could be the immobilizer system and go to the dealer. I'll probably go poking around tomorrow and look for any loose or ant corrosion on any of the wires to the immobilzer system....if anyone has ever had any of this issues and can shed some light, it would be greatly appreciated.

the immobilzer will let the car start it will just shut the car off with in 3 sec. If your car is a manual you may want to look into the clutch releace mech that tells the car it is in N or the clutch is depressed

yeah it's a manual and the clutch does sit pretty high and will need to be replaced sooner then later...thanks for the info, I'll take a look into that, thanks again.
