Talking Koni FSD Eibach Suspension Kit

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I have narrowed it down to this kit from Koni.

The FSD shocks with eibach springs.

Its snows a lot here in the great white north that I call home (canada)

Just want to get last minute feedback about them and or pics before i press the buy button

I have read every single thread and topic on this and seen a bunch of pictures but all were old threads. Wonderin now if anyone has any regrets dumping A grand on this set up.

I need the ground clearance because of the snow/shitty roads. C/O's are not in my legue since I don't track. This is purely for aesthetics and on ramps

    Current set-up 4x4 non sport shocks/springs.

    Thanks AZ.

Re: Koni FSD Eibach Suspension Kit

since this is a shock post - i am a bit curious if Bilstein Sport / HD shock is any good?
or better question yet - do i even need to change off the shocks if i want to drop H&R springs? ( read somewhere that i had to )

current set up - S-Line sport suspension.

Re: Koni FSD Eibach Suspension Kit

From what I have gathered. The H/R bilz setup is stiffer and lower.

And as for your suspension you can do just shocks but your shocks will fail eventually.
Why do double the labour or pay if you don't do it yourself.

But also many members haven't had a problem with just springs.

Re: Koni FSD Eibach Suspension Kit

Have this kit here on our Avant. Love it. Still very comfortable, not too low (subjectively) (mountain snow here too). It's a bit lower than the stock sport suspension though, so be aware of that. If you're truly concerned about max ground clearance, you wouldn't be driving this particular car, but lowering from stock to this setup is not a problem in snow, assuming you have proper snow tires on, and the snow is not 3 feet deep. We have some nokian hakkas and couldn't be happier with this setup year round. Be sure your belly pan is tightened up and not cracked/hanging.

shockwarehouse.com for the bilstein's are(or at least were) $411 shipped. probably a bit more to CAN. even if it's $500, you must be able to get springs for under 500. I'm on Bilstein sports and LOVE them. not much stiffer than stock but greatly improved road feel and handling. i prefer it to oem sport (on a B6) even in terms of comfort. not as bouncy.

Why must people try to sound smart or hooked-up? The guy is telling you how much it cost him to actually implement the mod, not just buy the parts. He may even be rounding up to $1000.....sheesh......

Bart-man, did you ever install the FSDs and eibach springs? Lets see some pics and hear some impressions.

I got a good deal with someone in Montreal, and put on the sports suspension.

Re: Koni FSD Eibach Suspension Kit

They really f*** you at the drive through.

I also want this set up. I called the stealership today and they quoted me $1200. for install and alignment. That's total crap! My local tuner will do it for $670. Would a regular garage be cheaper and should I trust them with my car, or DIY?

Also can anyone give a ride comparison between Koni sports and FSD?

Yeah, how much should someone expect to pay for this kit installed?
