cracked upper radiator plastic on radiator

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I was removing my radiator and the upper radiator plastic connection on the radiator itself just simply broke off as I was removing it... I wasn't forcing or prying it out... I was just gently pulling it and the plastic upper radiator connection piece on the radiator broke off.

Argh--- I'm on the other side of the country... can I simply get the plastic welded? I've heard plastic welding will work for an application like this?

    Any insight guys?

Re: cracked upper radiator plastic on radiator

You could try an epoxy repair after sanding or Permatex Radiator Repair Not sure how well it would work.

If the piece broke off easily, chances are the plastic is degraded and may give trouble down the road at the worst time. New radiators are under $200 depending on trans, engine and if Q or not.
ECS has two listed for the V6
