Newbie Qustion and a good mechanic in the OC

I just bought a 2006 A4 Avant S-line 2.0 and the check engine lite comes on every now and then.... more often now than then. I've always bought new A4's in the past (05 and 07 sedans) so they were both under warranty when getting them fixed. But I wanted to do some mods and have some fun, so I bought a used Avant this go-around. It"s really clean and I'm very happy with it, but it idles a littles rough compared to my other cars. The person I bought it from replaced the motor mounts and some valve related to the airflow meter.... His mechanic said the 2.0's idle a little rough but I never experienced this... So my question is, has anybody have this issue as well as know know a good mechanic in the Santa Ana area where I can have this checked out??? Thanks and I'll post pictures has I go through the different mods I have planned.... which will be very soon

Nah, they installed a garbage waterpump in the last Avant I bought. Within a year it was leaking on and off. Not sure if it was substandard parts and I know this could have been due to part failure or poor installation. Id try another shop. Your mileage may vary?
