I guess a better question is... Does it matter what direction the BPS faces?

The plug faces down, if it is on correctly, you will see the ER on the piping

Are you sure you screwed it in all of the way? I had a leak right there and then I realized that the sensor could go in further then I thought.

I left them a message last Thursday and once on Monday of this week. Still no call back.

Call the person you ordered the kit from and they shouldn't have a problem getting ahold of fred. I usually have no problem getting fred on the phone.

BTW are you just having problems getting the sensor in all the way or is the hole too large?

Re: Need Help From ER Sport Users

Like Co Avant said, probably incorrectly machined. My ER comp and a few others I installed had the same problem. To fix it I bought a baggy of O rings, about the same diameter as the sensor itself, stretched it over the sensor and then bolted it down. The O ring acts like a gasket and seals perfectly. No leaks!

If you were like me and couldn't leave the car unfinished stop by schucks, and look at their rubber O ring selection. It will be green and come in packs of 10 I believe. Bring the sensor and test fit them make sure it fits snug. GL with whatever you do. ER will take car of you too!

So your stock O-ring wasn't the right size or you just didn't have one on there?

Re: Need Help From ER Sport Users

The stock O-ring was replaced by Audi to attempt and remedy the problem but there was no luck. I went to checker and replaced the o-ring. The OEM is 8mm ID, 12mm OD, and 2mm diameter. It was replaced with an 8mm ID, 12.5mm OD, and 2.48mm diameter. I have gained about 1psi since I replaced it today. The shop it was bought from closed.

Hard to explain unless I drew it out but too lazy to draw something then host it but basically the whole is the correct size but the hollowed out rib where the O ring is supposed to seal in was torn, almost looked like the CNC machine came out crooked and nicked the edge keeping the OEM O-ring from sealing... This was the case for both ER's I installed a while back. I told Fred about the problem so it probably was taken care of on their current batches.
