Yes, do that. The mesh you have right now is not heavy so alot shows through. Other than that, i think it was a step in the right direction.

I think you should high polish it. Right now it looks as if somebody took steel wool to it.

grille is better but I'd paint match the surround to the color of the car. The surround is too big to be black, IMO. I have a caractere grille on silver which I thought I liked with original surround but I had it painted silver to match the car and its much better.

powder coat it either gun metal or a shade of gray to match the inside of your e-codes
