Topping off Center Diff - Leaking Prop Flange Seal

Hi everyone, first post for me.

I have a new (to me) '01 A4 2.8Q with a leaking prop flange seal. My Bentley DVD is on the way, but won't be hear for another few days. I've searched quite a bit and found some great information, including the seal replacement DIY.

Since the exhaust needs to be dropped and I won't be able to get to it for a couple of weeks (need new seal, etc.) I want to top off the diff to ensure adequate fluid levels in the interim. I've found the fill plug, and other than being a bitch to get at, it looks reasonably simple to do this.

I have not been able to positively identify a drain plug. Is there one on the center diff? There appears to be a plug (6mm Hex) on the bottom near the transmission, but it is so far forward that I can't be sure that it's a diff drain. Is it, or is it perhaps something else?

Thanks in advance for all the help,
    Bob
