H7 headlight bulb suggestions???

so need to get new H7 bulbs for my 01 a4 and looking for a white-blueish kinda look. sort like 6000k or 6500k kinda look. anyone have good suggestions on what kinds????

or should i just drop money on a HID kit??

you're not goign to get good output from 6000k Halogen bulbs. HID kits are like $50 from vvme, probably less than some PIAA bulbs which are crap.

If you want better output from H7 halogen bulbs get the European version of the Slyvania Silverstars. They are nothing like the North American version which has a blue coating over the bulb, but rather they are about 50% brighter and don't have a blue coating.

If you really want the color just go for a 5000k HID kit.

^^ Good choice. They are the Osram Silverstars. Same company but branded as Osram in Europe and Silvania here. The Outback has run three sets (high, low, fog) of Osram SSs and the A4 has 2 pair (high, fog). Good stuff for halogens. 4300k - 5000k is where you get the highest lumen count (light output).

I always giggle when I hear that company name "Osram." It means to take a **** on in Polish.

Sylvania recently closed a big glass plant in RI. Good stuff tho, but, HID all the way.
