The 3.2, does it come with dual exhaust, one tip on each side:

The 2.0T, does it come with a single dual tip exhaust on one side:

Re: For those who driven or seen the B8 A4 2.0T or 3.2

the 2.0t comes with the single side where the 3.2 is dual. They have both at my dealership and the pictures you posted are correct. Personally this is a big thing for me. I have always loved the dual exhaust. I am hoping when the s-line pakcage becomes available on the 2.0t it will have dual exhaust other wise im not sure i want it. It would be too much work to change it over.

Don't know why Audi decided to go back to the B5 A4 exhaust look for the 2.0T.

i saw one at my local dealer and wasn't impressed at all!! I didn't like it, the interior was nice but exterior no thanks. it was the 2.0t so it had the ugly single exhaust.

    Add lightness?

Single sided should weigh less than dual. Maybe also to add distinction to the 3.2, now that the 2.0T produces more torque and can produce more horsepower (chipped)

the dealership here has a couple and man are they ugly. they come with these tiny ugly rims and have high suspension. The front looks sick, but the rear not so much. I was very disappointed when I went to look at them

same story here. i went to go check them out, cuz i was grabbing a bite next door to the dealer. they only had non s-line, but the profile of the car is VERY boring. Front is sweet, back is BLAND. oh well. BUT! i saw one of the service guys driving the non s-line on the street a couple days after and it didnt look all that bad moving. so idk. i want to see an s-line.

I think everyone on this forum is going to like the sport packages way more than the standard/premium models. I wouldn't trade my A4 for a non-sport B8 even though it has a better drivetrain.

Dont bother to me... I like the V6's in the A4's personally... Im not a big Modder so when i go to buy a car, I like it to have all the bells and whistles out of the box.

A recent car mag review of the 3.2 A4 auto quattro got to 60 in 5.7!
At the 1/4 it as about 100mph! That is SIGNIFICANT improvement over the outgoing B7 V6. I would expect the manual to be even quicker, but maybe not considering how fast slushboxs are these days.

For not much more HP and almost no more torque, by the numbers, the performance improvement is amazing. The torque curve must be really impressive in the new V6 compared to the old one.

Re: For those who driven or seen the B8 A4 2.0T or 3.2

I really don't see how a single side exhaust is such a deal breaker for some people... And I drive a g35 currently so it's not like I don't have one and don't know what I'm missing. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even make sense to me for a inline engine to have a dual exhaust. Even though it DOES look better, I'm not going to jump ship on Audi.

that being said, if the manual doesn't appear before my 26th birthday in February I might jump ship then... can't be a age that's closer to 30 than 20 and still driving a boy racer car right?

I agree--the criticism is nonstop. Damn I have owned more than 20 new audis over the last 20+years and am always impressed by the new drives(I must be too easily impressed I guess). Yes I like the looks of the prestige package more than the base but overall this is one hell of a car and although I love my S5 immensely I certainly don't feel cheated when I "have" to drive my wife's new A4. The exhaust thing is purely a personal preference issue as is round vs. oval vs. rectangular tips--ya don't like it change it. This is no slouch of a car for the class it's in.

20 Audis? WTF do you buy a new one every year? And you own a Jetta/F350 too? You could probably own a couple RS models with the money you've tossed away on depreciation.

TDI is my youngest son's in college. Audis owned include my wife's, mine, college graduation cars for kids, etc. F350 is 1999 with 145K for ranch use. If only consideration was money lost on depreciation then you would never buy a new car since financially it almost never is fiscally wise to buy a new car. But some have fast women as a passion, some have vacation homes or whatever as a passion. Mine happens to be cars--specifically Audis. If a RS happens to appeal to me and I can afford it then I'll own it someday and when I get too old to enjoy the drive of my Audis then I'll enter the nursing home and remember all the fun I had. Just remember you can't take it with you and I have paid for the education of each of the kids so what is left is ours to enjoy not theirs to inherit. "Tossed away" purely a matter of perspective I guess. Enjoy your ride since I sure do.

I may be a bit loose with my money when it comes to cars but losing money in car depreciation is always the case--just more for some than others.

I'm undecided on the non dual tips for the 2.0t. IMO there's maily only two options if I were to buy (lower price, good gas mileage, good tuning base, etc = 2.0t or go for the most power/options right out of the box = S4/RS4), the chances of me considering the models in the middle (only 3.2L right now) would be slim to none.
I like the dual exhaust look and it really opens up the axle back portion on a turbo engine. Price wise though, maybe we'll actually see aftermarket systems for 1/2 the price tag of the b6/b7 ones (which would be very good news IMO).

I laughed at my dad for not even wanting to look at the 328i because it lacked dual exhaust tips.. I still laugh, it's not a big deal. Can we help it that Audi is struggling to make a profit due to the value of our dollar?

Pricing aren't set based on current exchange. They are set well in advance of car availability. For example, if pricing was "announced" in July, you can bet that it was set probably around May.

Also, keep in mind that AoA was struggling to break even even before $USD started to tank a couple of years ago.
