    LOL...or the engine blows?

I generally shift at 2500-3000 during my first 4 gears, then 5 and 6 I would shift at 2K.

Spirited driving, I would shift at 3.5K to 4K...

This reminds me of two things. 1. My old 1987 Chevy S-10 pickup had a "shift" light, to tell you when you shift gears for optimal gas saving...
    2. In the 80's Road and Track published the "optimal shift point" calculator. Here's one, I found on the internet...LINK. This will help you find the sweet spot to shift for fastest acceleration.

7000, but at like 8200 soon. Sometimes I shift "normal" at like 3500 but not to often.

still havent looked at the turbo to rule it out, I'll check it in the next few days then I guess that would leave the wastegate since I have already tried 2 different bov/diverter valves.

Re: What do you guys typically shift at?

2000-3000 most of the time. Usually closer to 2 just because i want the most out of my gas and i have no need to rev it that high. I've learned you never get where you're going that much faster, maybe like a minute or 2. You only get more speeding tickets. If i'm pulling onto the freeway i'll redline it just for the on ramp to have some fun but that's rare. I like to shift before the turbo starts to spool up and provide boost, keep it low on gas consumption.

who knows, for fun I guess... I was dreaming that there was a B.A.T. under the hood and not a bitch. With the 2.0L it pulled better up top

Sounds like a bunch of us will be there. I hope to have my car back by then so I can drive down and attend.

Normal every-day driving (or with people in the car) I shift around 3krpm to stay out of boost. When I want to have some fun I shift upwards of 6-7krpm.
