need help about my s4.....

my 2001 audi s4 had some front end damage and does not start now....it cranks over and everything just cant find the problem...i was wondering if theres a switch or something that it has that when it got in an accident it kills the engine from starting.....thanks

my friend ran the car on the computer...and he said theres a short in the ecu.....but hes not sure so i need someone to come over and let me see there ecu and check it out on my car...and see if thats the problem....
