    Re: damn coil pack,

I'd go ECS Tuning.. Stage 1 igniton upgrade. Its like $138 for all four and the hardware and stuff. Then you can do UPS 2nd day air for only $4 more than ground shipping.

    Re: damn coil pack,

plus they are bolt down, so you shouldn't have to screw with them anymore.

Unless somebody has heard of those ones still failing? (i personally haven't read about happening)

    1. OEM B6 coils are perfectly fine and need no screwing down. The only way they pop up is when the spark plugs aren't torqued properly.

    2. ECS sells B5 coils (stage 1 and so forth). I tried them on my car for 6 months and went back to OEM B6 coils.

Always carry at lest 1 spare coilpack in the trunk.

    Re: damn coil pack,

I have the Hiatachi "E" coils from ECS and haven't had any issues with them for over 5K now. I do agree with Tgr_Clw though, the standard type shouldn't have issues either if plugs are torqued correctly.

    Re: damn coil pack,

The hitachi coils are by far the best. They don't fail.

The 06B-905-115-R coils are indeed as unreliable as the previous versions, BTW. See it everyday.
