Spyker C8 Spider has Audi S4 V8 under the hood.

I was getting my oil changed at Eurotech in Culver City, Ca. I heard a deep exhaust note and looked up. A dark blue Spyker C8 Spider rolled up. Driven by one of Jose's old apprentices, who currently works at Bently. He brought the Spyker over to show Jose the engine. Jose said it looks very familiar. Even I was surprised to see it looked VERY similar to our V8. The sides have the silver and the four red do-dads...whatever those are. Spark plugs? Anyway, it's mid-mounted in a car that weighs 2200 lbs!!! WOW! Jose said it's like having 700HP in an S4, and rear wheel drive. And of course, this was the day I didn't bring my camera. So, I took some crappy cell phone pics, and I will upload them when I figure out how. But for now, here's a pic I found online of the Spyker C8 Spider.

Red do dads are the coil pack connectors which fit on the spark plugs...

The Gumpert Apollo also has the 4.2 Although they have been rumored to burn down.

the gumpert apollo uses the 4.2 out of the rs6 which means it uses a timing belt instead of chains.
