I have been going back and forth about getting carbon fiber trim but I really think I want piano black. Does anyone know where I can get it?

Every time I've seen it sold it's over $1k... Maybe you can find a used set. The CF really looks great, if you haven't seen it in person you should check it out before you make your decision IMO.

The piano black costs just as much as the CF trim. Get the RS4 cf trim and call it a day or paint like the other members mentioned.

scratches are more visible in the black trim just from what i've seen. go with the cf.

I like CF and piano black. Piano black might show scratches more than CF but it really isn't in a high traffic area in the interior to begin with. YMMV.

Get your trim wrapped in CF from the guys at "Carbon Copy" then trade me. I'll go halvesies! ;) I like the Piano Black but I think I like the CF better. Either option is an upgrade from wood.

When i first read this idea i was a bit hyped.. I thought wow what a nice cheap way of changing the wood trim..

But after a bit of thought... no matter how good a quality you get... vinyl is vinyl. Even if it looks a bit old fashioned.. the wood trim is way better looking than any vinyl you would get.

either CF wrap or paint... Only time your car should have vinyl in it is if you pick up a hooker or some sweet sexy vinyl clad babe at a night club!

Paint your trim, if it doesn't turn out well then you can always buy the Carbon Copy CF trim and send them your failed painted trim as the core exchange...

2nd. I've had my Carbon Copy trim on the car for a few months now and I still find myself admiring it every time I get in the car. I haven't found a picture yet that does it justice.

I think that is what I am going to do, I am going to attempt to paint it myself. If it doesn't turn out too well, I'll just have it done in CF. I have seen the CF, it does look good, I just like the piano black look better.

I would think about color matching the trim to the car (-Sprint Blue sure would look sweet, with the right interior).


Not on my car personally though. I have the CF and I'll never get tired of it.

But if I had the wood, this is what I would do.

Im thinking of swapping my brushed aluminum thats in the wagon for the woodgrain in my s4...I think its backwards....
