Im thinking about getting a 2000-2005 b5.5 VW Passat wagon with the 1.8t engine. I want to swap in my K04 turbo, injectors hopefully intercooler and any other parts from my sig that will fit. Anybody have any experience with these wagons?

Not that motor. My friend has a W8 wagon. Fast car and no modds out there, except software, suspension, brakes and wheels. Few body mods too.
Good luck with it if you get the passat.

I've got a new born so im looking at it as the best compromise for a 'reliable' fun daily driver.
If i can get my K04, injectors and intercooler in there and not blow up the auto tranny ill be happy with it.
Anybody know if i can swap in b6 s4 brakes for the front?

That W8 engine looks pretty cool:
"A 4.0 L W8 engine producing 275 PS (202 kW) was introduced in 2002 in an upmarket version of the car that included standard all-wheel drive. This engine was intended to be a test bed for VW's new W engine technology, which would later make an appearance on the W12 in the Phaeton and A8, and the W16 in the Bugatti Veyron. The engine was dropped in 2004."

Yeah it's a great car. Fast he got it dynoed at WaterFest. 205 hp, 238ftq. he's had some problems with the car. $11,000 worth of motor work and he only paid $400 with his warranty.

why not get a B6 avant or something? That way almost all of the parts will transfer, you stay in the audi family, and they are better looking IMO...

Very true! i should have looked at it after i wrote it. the liquid cooled alternator is the main problem. other than that, we had it up to 160mph riding allong side a S5! felt like we were going 60mph. and it handled great on the road course down at Water Fest. But it doesnt compare to my b6 avant, other than being fast thats it.

OK, you should have stopped with the last post, but unless I am alone here, 160MPH, could never get confused with 60MPH. Try it again, and put down the pipe this time , and let us know how it compared. LOL!!!

Why not so got to smoke something to get the car up to that speed??
We did! Car has custom intake, exhaust, new suspension all around and GIAC software. It's faster than it looks.

The Passat has a lot more room for a FMIC.
