'01 TT for Me, Haldex, Grill, and Paint Help Please

Hello Everybody who clicks this thread.

I just bought a 225hp Quattro TT roadster with Baseball interior ....
I am looking for help on picking out a Quality Grill that fits OEM mounts and doens't require any drilling or drastic measures to install. Black Mesh is my first choice, but if anyone knows a better looking grill for this car, Please throw in your two cents.

Also, there are a lot of scratches on the car. Anyone know a good touch up paint store and/or how-to instructions for covering scratches and not leaving it look worse than when you started???

Lastly, how can I change the Haldex so that I have a more Quattro-like Quattro system? By that I mean, not front wheel drive 99% of the time. Are there any performance or handling gains here? I know that decreasing rolling resistance improves gas milage, but damn man, I would rather it be even 50/50 or rear biased than set up like this.

I'd probably go with the caractere grill. It looks great and their products usually fit well.

The easiest way to clean up the light scratches is to get it professionally detailed by someone that knows what they're doing. If you want to be more involved and tackle it yourself, look into a porter cable orbital buffer. Deep scratches are tough, if not impossible to fix.

You can get a Haldex peformance control unit that sends more power to the rear. Thats probably the first modification I would do if I was in your shoes.

I have the caractere: smooth inlet looks best IMO on the TT.

Sport Haldex is VERY expensive. The haldex works fine in track and road as-is, just change the oil frequently. You wnat more Q, be prepared to spend about US$750. Unless you're really racing, not sure it is cost-beneficial.

Detailers Domain and Phil Yiu are your friend for scratches!

Thanks for the help. The cheapest I fount the Haldex controllers was about $1000. Which moves it pretty far down the mods list. I'll chip it first, along with the turbo inlet. Then start thinkin about brakes, exhaust, and others
