Remove or decrease search time limit

This is the most annoying thing about this forum.

If I search for something and don't get any results, I have to wait 30 seconds to search again.

Please decrease this to either nothing, or to like 5 or 10 seconds at most.

I've abandoned a lot of searches because of this.

Seeing as how our database is so large now, it's a necessity. Same reason we turned the search feature off altogether for non-members.

That feature MAKES people become a member of each forum they need to look something up on. I had to become a member of a Laptop forum just to search out a feature on a laptop.

That was an added benefit, yes. It wasn't our main/initial reason for turning off search for guests though.

Would it be possible to reduce the time limit instead of removing it all together? Maybe try 15 seconds and if that is too little then go up from there and conversely if it works fine then maybe try for 10 seconds?

I personally don't like the 30 second delay either but I understand why it was done.
