    Howdie folks.

Audi Allroad with the auto/tiptronic box.

When im in top gear and accelerate it sometimes jumps to 4th then back to fifth then back to fourth and so on

Is this the symptom of something serious?

    Cheers All

    Re: Allroad tip gearbox issue

You could have a flakey RPM sensor on the transmission or even the transmission range switch could be going south too.

You might be able to see some soft codes from the TCU if you check for codes.

Cool, I have a VAGCOM but as yet I am unable to get it working. I will make a concerted effort and get the codes checked. Cheers for the help.

My tranny is not letting me apply gas in reverse. I can back up reaaaally slow, but if I apply gas, nothing.
