Though, if you don't mind paying the the gas, the M5 is an amazing car. I work at a BMW dealership and always love getting behind the wheel of the M5.
The only thing I don't like about Jeremy's M5 review is he over exagerates everything. Using the blinker isn't as hard as he makes it out to be and that bit on the navigation... well he's being navigated. What doy uo want the system to do? Ask if it's alright to give you your next turn? iDrive is a pain in the ass, I'll agree to that. Though, they have made some improvements to the newer models. For instance, they have now added programable buttons, numbers 1-6, so you don't always have to use the iDrive mouse. I know, why add it now. It should have been there in the beginning...
If you really want me hear me rant on something BMW... if you see this, stay away.
Nothing like opening your drivers side door with your foot off the pedal some and having the car throw you in Park...
Seriously, why reinvent the wheel? The knob just flicks down and up and over why in manual mode, but doesn't actually move like most automatic transmissions. Shifting is awkward as ever too since the knob doesn't fit properly in your hand.
This will be the new transmission on the new 7-Series too.
Ok, carry on...
