    What set up are you running, and I also think it sounds like a big diesel, but a Cat instead of Cummins. Oh yea and I kinda like it.

    FINE... im getting rocket boosters! haha good luck on a 10k supercharger for that motor! haha just face it, the 2.7t is more fun!

    and the v8 doesnt mean anything in the slushbox auto you have! 6 speed FTW!

    Yeah, that's the main issue for me on the 4.2L. I couldn't take the tiptronic and it's power loss.

    The ironic thing about the 4.2L vs the 2.7T is that a stock 2.7T manual is slightly faster that a stock 4.2L.

    The reason is the added weight of the V8 and the weight + power loss of the tiptronic.

    While the 4.2L supercharger will make impressive HP on the A6/allroad, it still won't fully contend with a Stage 3 A6/allroad with a manual tranny.

    this actually isnt mine, i just found it a while ago and though id share. i asked him about it and he said that hes running 2.5" stainless steel pipes from stock dp's with an x-pipe in the middle. so im guessing no cats. oh yeah and its starting to grow on me too
