    My vehicular addiction... Kinda long.

Hi. My name is Ron... and I'm an Autoholic (Thanks FastB7S4) I know there is more of you on here so I thought it would be fun to post up pics of our past rides. Hopefully it's ok to post this here moderators. Please contribute and post a little info on each one.

First up. My 2003 Nissan 350z. This was the first "sports car" I ever owned. Had always been a huge fan of the old 300ZXTT so I had to have one of these when they first came out. Eventually upgraded to the 18" stock wheels. No other mods. Car kinda bored me...

Traded in the 350z for this... 2004 Subaru WRX STi. Loved this car and still has a place in my heart. This was the first year... No stereo or speakers came installed. Got my first taste of car stereo installation with this. This thing was a blast to drive... Didnt do any mods besides wheels and rear spoiler delete. The wheels were ugly so I won't post a pic :) Then I wanted more luxury...

Traded in the STi for my first Kraut. 2003.5 BMW M3 SMG. This is the car I thought I would keep for a long time! Was fast, fun, and great looking. SMG was a blast to drive fast and the auto mode was great for when you needed to use your phone and what not. In my eyes one of the best looking cars BMW ever made. Loved the width adjustable seats! But the main problem that drove me nuts... The color was beautiful but hard to color match should something need to get repainted. Due to this I feel the car was cursed. Was hit and run in a parking lot on my rear bumper on New Years. Scratched the paint up real nice... Next up was a big door dent right on the body line. Scratched the paint too. Then a girl I was dating scratched an X in the leather seat due to a broken button on her jeans... All these lil things added up so I started looking elsewhere... Always liked them Audis... I'm crazy I know. BTW no mods besides 19" OEM wheels. Can't find that pic though.

Walked in to carmax and I fell in love... Well with Audi at least :) Found a low mileage 2004 b6 s4 in Nogaro blue with Alcantara... Had it shipped from Atlanta. Came with APR downpipes and Catback exhaust. From there I added RNS-E, OEM Ultrasport bumper, H Sport rear sway, ECS Cayenne BBK and some SSR wheels... Then I started to crave more power and tune-ability...

Found a very clean low mileage 2001.5 b5 s4 in the same color combo locally! Upgraded clutch and a few other things here and there getting ready for a complete stage 3 build...

Then I saw her... Low mileage complete awe rsko4 stage 3 b5 s4 in nogaro blue. In the link is the actual car I bought from the second owner in Reno. It was featured in EuroTuner magazine. It came with the two sets of wheels. Kinesis k28r and Work Emotion that were bronze and used as his winter wheels. I added brushed rs4 mirror caps, OEM rs4 CF interior trim, Sold both sets of wheels and added 18" BBS CH (i know heavier but I loved the look) Experimented with some DPE wheels but wasn't happy. The CH looked perfect on her. Car had everything. Stasis Track Sport suspension, Brembo GT BBK, AWE twin2 exhaust etc... Still not sure why I let her go :(
    http://www.awe-tuning.com/media/pdf/6_05_eurotuner.pdf

Then I made the mistake... I sold the car to a very lucky guy in Cali... Although nothing ever broke on her when I had her, I was always worried about breaking down... So I took the safe route. Heard she is still running strong :( Not a big downgrade. Mainly just in power. I bought an 07 ibis white s-line A4 Avant. Had plans for a BT and such but I moved to the Bahamas for 5 months in 2007 so I decided I would just hold off... Ended up just getting her chipped and put on a rear rs4 sway... Great car... Just not much oomph.

So my lease is almost up and I wanted to get back into something faster right out of the box, with luxury, a warranty, and low key style... Came back to a b6 s4! I prefer the look to the b7 so that's why I went b6 again. So far just some Ti wheels and piano black trim. Planning on getting suspension and exhaust soon! The plan is to keep her for 3 years... We'll see ;)

So who else has a problem?

The first step is admitting it.

At the rate you must have gone through cars, what with a 2003 car to start the list that went through to 2007 or 2008 (not quite sure on the exact timeline), there's just no way you'll keep that car for three years. Sorry to doubt you buddy. But your problem is a pretty cool one. A new ride all the time. You've done the S4 though. I think before three years is up it might be time to grab yourself a big daddy and go with an RS4. Then I'd believe you when you said you would keep it for a couple years. Mmmmm

I had a 91 Probe GT with turbo.. those cars looked awesome (back then) until they changed the model to make them look like flying saucers or w/e.

Wow, its like you are inside my brain!

I already set a goal, to purchase a RS4 in less than 5 yrs, only if gas prices are ~$4.00. Anything much higher is a no go.

Re: My vehicular addiction... Kinda long.

Lets see some pics FTYAVANT and FastB7S4! Nice pics Drexplode. We can use first names here. We all have the same problem :) Whartung you're probably right... The plan is to attempt this feat... I missed my Noggy b6 so I felt if I was coming back to it then there must be something there the others didn't have. I would love an rs4 or s5 in a few years actually... If Tyson (1fasts4.com) keeps his new Ibis for at least two years (yeah right :) I might be in the market for it :)

I actually had 4 cars before the 350z. The first OG was a 1986 Ford Escort EXP. It was a 1.9L 4 banger 2 seater hatchback putting out about 90hp I think. It looked kinda like a Mustang. This pic isnt mine but my car looked exactly like this one.

Then I moved on to Jeeps! My first jeep was a dark green 1995 Wrangler YJ 2.5L black soft top 1/2 doors. Put on a cheap 3.5" Dick Cepek lift and some 33"x14.5 Baja Claw tires and a 5 light lightbar on the roof. Looked pretty pimp back in the day. No pics unfortunately :(

Then came the dark green 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0L with tan soft top and 1/2 doors. Didnt do any mods cause I was broke! No pics of that one either... Maybe I didn't own a camera back then... Hmmmm

The vehicle I traded in for the 350z was a 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0L. This was a pretty nice Jeep after I got finished with it. It had a Rubicon Express 4.5 inch lift and front ACOS "adjustable coil-over spacers" Slip yoke eliminator, 15" hellcat wheels, 33x12.5 Pro Comp MT tires and extended bolt on fender flares. I miss this Jeep. For what they gave me for it I should have just kept it! Hope to one day have a jeep again as a second vehicle.

I've lost soooo much money over the years of trading in and selling cars. It really is a sickness! I'll be 30 in Jan just to show the time frame.

Same here. I don't think I have any pics of the Teg or the Rolla since they were both prior to digicams. As for my timeframe, from the Corolla to present has been 7 years.

    my sig says it all....

my A4 was heavily modded... it was in the shop more than on the road the last six months I had it. Decided to sell it and get something fast out of the box with a warrenty. So far with exception of the RS4 pedals I have resisted the urge to mod.... (we see how long that lasts)

It was a full pro-touring ride with a warmed over late model LT1. Sweet car and about as gorgeous as a car can get. But, the S4 is a far nicer car to drive around in every day.....

I too was intrigued by the cts-V but the interior just looked like junk to me. Now the up and coming cts-V looks AMAZING! Really looking forward to seeing what that car can do. Interior looks Beautiful! I'm sure most of you have seen it but for those that haven't. Ok someone post a pic of an s4 or rs4 to keep this on topic! :)

I hear ya on the kid thing! I had one when it first came out so all the kiddies loved me. The other annoying thing was that EVERYONE... and I mean EVERYONE wanted to race at every light. e39 M5 almost became a reality to me too. But i read up on em and their money pit tendencies scared me away. Amazing car. Also I was seconds away from buying a CPO rs6 right before I got into my "new" s4. I wanted a better deal on it but they wouldn't budge. rs6 had Sportec exhaust, Sportec suspension, 20" Sportec Wheels and Sportec Chip. Even had sportec stickers on the side :) Car was in Avus silver... They were replacing a tire so I only have a shitty pic of the front. Amazing car. LOVED the way it drove but I hated the interior! If it was black with CF or hell even wood trim I probably would have bit. The silver interior just doesn't work for me at all! Car had 35k miles on it. Sorry I'm getting crazy with the picture posting I know!

    Look at those amazing wheels

$39k plus CPO warranty at $2.5k. I guess it needed a new Torque converter so I would have had to bring it back after the warranty went into effect. Being that they can be quite problematic I thought the CPO should have been thrown in for free. Really the deal breaker was the interior...
