Me and another fellow Audi member are meeting up in the North GA mountains (Helen, GA) to ride around the mountain roads this weekend (Aug. 30 and 31) We will get up there around lunch time saturday and stay overnight, then leave sunday night. So if anyone wants to meet up there this weekend. send me a PM and I'll give you my number.

I like to drive up to Franklin NC and drive back to Clayton going via the road that runs through Highlands. That is a fun trip and you hardly pass any cars once you are out side of Franklin and Highlands.

well this past weekend didn't turn out as expected, my buddy totaled his S4 on Blood Mountain. He is fine, which is the great part of the weekend, but car not so lucky. I will post pics as soon as i get them.

Rather LARGE terrain feature in North Georgia, and been in the news frequently in 2007 over a murder story. US-129 loops past it rather nicely, and goes up to the Tail of the Dragon.

You need to get out more often!

Ah. Most of my mountain driving is in Rabun County. I might have to check this out next time I head up there to go drive.
