Rear brake pads and rotors, opinions needed.

    Hey guys,

looking at getting some slotted and cross drilled rear rotors and performance pads as they are worn out and in need of an upgrade.
I want to have a quiet pad that won't fade during high speed braking and I could also track if I ever choose to. I am looking at the hawk HPS pads right now and it doesn't say anything about how quiet they are or how fast they wear out. Also looking at PBR's ceramic brake pads. Would these be better suited to my needs than the HPS pads? Or does anyone know of a better street/high performance pad. Also, i don't want to be cleaning off brake dust every day.

As far as the rotors go, I was eyeing ECS's slotted/cross drilled rotors. Is there a cheaper higher quality rotor out there that will compare with this one? Also, I understand that the slots will eat through brake pads, so is there maybe a company that just has crossdrilled ones? I used to see zimmerman rotors all the time on ebay for pretty cheap but they seem to have disappeared. TIA guys.

I got the DBA slotted for the rear with the HPS pads. I also have HPS pads in the front and Powerslot Cyro rotors in the front. So far, I can say that braking feels much softer. I do not like it! I feel like I have to put more pressure on the pedal to stop. I also did stainless steel lines. They people who did them only put in 4 of the 6 lines and I'm not sure they flushed the system. I am having the other 2 lines put in along with a flush. Hope that makes a difference. If not, I wouldn't really recommend this set up.

I purchased Adams cross drilled and slotted rotors for all around. Couldn't beat the price and quality. A lot of people use Hawk pads or other performance pads but I just used factory pads and there is no noise and the braking over 125 is excellent .

I have Zimmerman rotors up front and i hate them, they were rusted to hell in about the first 2-3 weeks after install. didn't look nice and shiny like when i bought them.

I would def go with hawk pads though there great, or mintex red box.

I'll subsribe to this thread as i need rear rotors now to.

^^^ Adams rotors come in Silver Zinc plated, you can also get black or gold. I've had mine since June and they still look new...just need to paint the calipers and maybe put and S4 symbol on them.
