with regard to the timing belt lawsuit i am filing a reimbursement claim after my engine was killed by the faulty timing belt.
and here i need some advice how on to write the letter to explain the situation to the settlement administrator.
here is my situation:
i understand it's the timing belt who skipped, thus the camshaft and valve train no longer turned with the crankshaft. my camshaft bearing cap cracked as a result....and when the mechanic sent the head to the machine shop it's declared that it's beyond repair. so they went ahead and replace it with a used engine. and after putting the engine back, it gave hell lot of white smoke and then they found out that the turbo is also damaged. the mechanic said "the turbine blades had been forced against the walls of the turbo housing due to the approx. 0.2" clearance in the turbine bearings".
i need some help in organizing all these points and present it in a convincing way in the letter. can anyone please help me with these? i am no professional in cars and help.....
should i also include the tensioner? i duno if they would understand the story in the wrong way by saying that the tensioner is the cause and decline my claim. i don't really know...
it's so so so so much appreciated
thanks
