Visiting for a few weeks!

Hey fellow AZ’ers on the island. Looks like I’ll be out there on vacation this coming October for about 3 weeks, I surf the cold ass water out here in NorCal, looking forward not to suit up at all …. I know it’s sacred knowledge for the local surfers, but would like to get out of town and surf less crowded areas. I’m pretty chill and laidback, surfing out here I make more friends than enemies, I know I’ll never be a pro just want to have a good session ….. I’m an intermediate surfer not an expert by any means you won’t see me heading out to pipe when the waves are 15 + feet, Depending on conditions I usually pull my 6’6 or if I’m feeling lazy I get the 9 ft log.

Last time I was out in Hawaii, surfed up and down Waikiki, spent a day at Makaha, and went out on a small day on North Shore, Also if anyone knows an inexpensive place to rent or buy a board that will be great!

Alan Davis on the East side of the island is a pretty good surf spot, not too crowded. It's located right (before) next to Sandy beach. Waves get to about 2-3ft occasional 4ft, mostly white wash though. Since it's getting closer to winter time North shore should be picking up soon. Next time you head out to North shore, keep an eye out for garage sells. There's always a few locals out there selling their boards.

haha nick, that joke would almost be funny, but the truth is majority of those garage sells are haoles getting rid of their old boards.

the last thing I need is to have some 6'4 300 lb lineman from the midwest accusing me of stealing his board., do they still have $5 happy hour pitchers of bud light during happy hour at Mai Tai's at the mall? That place is awesome I have never seen a skinny ass girl balancing 4-5 pitchers on her tray and weaving her way through drunk dudes...... very talented.

The last time I was out in Hawaii, I don't know how many pitchers of beers I've went through me ..... seems like it's cheaper to drink beer than to drink water. This time around I have to put a budget on my bad habits.

Drinking beer served by good looking girls is never a bad habit and should never be budgeted under any circumstance.

haha, I try to budget, but when you mix girls with alcohol, it goes out the window.
