lol. i know how you feel. try starting without a block, a head, or for that matter....with basically an alternator as a starting point! I cant wait to show u guys the pics of my block....errr what was left of it.

well, let me put it to you this way...if you thought a k04-15 couldnt kill a motor.....hehehehe

motor blew back in feb. been rebuilding since. long project with lots of hickups, lots of delays, and lots of help.

nearly done (been saying that for a month) but i mean it this time. very very close.

built bottom end, built AEB head (port, cleaned up inside, some serious valve work, etc), AEB intake...etc etc etc. i mean with a factory long block retailing for $6300, why not just build something noteworthy. lol.

i cant even sell my k04...when i say alternator was about all left over, im not kidding.

ethanol is still part of the plan with the new build. all of my hardware was chosen in no small part around a dedicated eth powered car. so by no means are those experiences over. Im looking forward to some BT experiences here in the very near future. ill keep u posted.

lolol. the destruction was pretty entertaining. pass side of the block has a wide hole from just above the oil pan 2/3 of the way to the top, and only slightly better on the driver side. rod broke just shy of the writspin and whacked itself around and around breaking everything in its path. i have a great collection of block, rod, and piston bits now though!

enough threadjacking. the point is i know exactly how quickly these things can add up. AEB intake manis arent the easiest things to find...not hard, But not always easy.

I have a coked up AMB intake mani for sale though...lol.

yeah, guess so, didnt really think of that. But I dont know of another big port mani. I know the AWP is a small port, what else is there?

AGU is the only large port transverse mani I know of and there aren't many of those floating around.

The SEM IM manifold for our cars is going to be bad ass..... wait for it, wait for it....

I will make my own for probably the cost of whatever I pay for the AEB, the rest I will make with scraps at my friend's fathers welding shop and he will weld it all for me for free. Then for the throttle body plate I will go next door to friends grandfathers machine shop and have him cut the hole in the plate and tap the bolt holes for the the throttle body.

I will not pay a rediculous price for something else.
