2001 audi a4 D2S HID right?

Just bought a 2001 audi and looking to get a higher intensity bulb, i was thinking the color of 6500k. so if they are already HID's in this model car do i just have to get replacement HID bulbs for it???

Yes they are D2S

Instead of buying an aftermarket bulb I would just buy some used Phillips D2S bulbs which will already be colorshifted to around 5000-5500k. You can get these for fairly cheap on the HID Planet forums.

If you don't have HID's your bulb type is Halogen H7

Yah i think its stock HID. im from burrillville, just got the audi the other day and kinda new to german cars.

go out at night, and turn your headlights on. If your headlights move up/down on the initial turn on, then you're HID. If your bulbs turn on bright, then dim a little bit then bright again, then you have HIDs. If the lights just turn on and don't dim then brighten up one bit, then you're on H7 Halogen
